I’m Re-doing My Room; but I’m Having Trouble Finding Things to Match My Blue Carpet?
I’m moving into my sisters old room, and thus re-doing it. It has pale blue carpet on the floor. I’m allowed to paint the walls, but the carpet is staying put. I love orange, and like the idea of a red/orange/ pink theme, but I don’t think it will match the carpet? What color schemes can I work with? Will Area Rugs work?
I like flower prints, but not polka-dots.

I think that picture is a perfect example of your color scheme. You can do the red, orange and pink and use blue very sparingly as an accent color. This is a pretty bright set, that has a little bit of blue, you could use a orange or pink bedskirt & sheet set instead of the green.

the last two would work with a blue throw pillow thrown in to incorporate the blue carpet. Decorate with the colors you like, then bring the blue in on a lampshade, wall art, whatever. Because red, orange and pink are next to each other on the color wheel, the blue will look like a vibrant accent color.
